What We Do | What We Don't Do
The technology your company craves deep down inside
We take big-company, expensive technologies and make them affordable by spreading the costs across our client base. It's pretty magical, if you think about it.
Really crazy prices on really cool stuff help us offer two things: solutions you wouldn't be able to afford, and technology we wouldn't be able to play with otherwise. Everybody wins.

Just like Mom used to charge.
Some of you just aren't interested in rate schedules and SLAs. You want the simplest, most honest way of getting billed — Time & Materials. Our rate structure is simple; and we bill in 6-minute increments.
Flat Fee. Managed Service. New Whiz-bang terms for an old-school idea.
With RocketDesk agreements in place, you know what you'll pay every month, and don't have to worry about getting nickel-and-dimed when you pick up the phone to call us. We customize our agreements on a per client basis, so you get exactly what you want — great value. And we get exactly what we want — your money. ;-)
- Unlimited phone and email support for workstations and servers.
- Quarterly reports on RocketDesk usage, types of issues, and status of service requests.
- Remote resolution of the vast majority of issues.
- Access to other Rocketnet services at reduced rates, such as online backups.
RocketVault? Sounds neat.
Oh, it is. RocketVault is an automated on-line backup system that continuously archives data. There are no tapes to juggle and the notion of "last week's backup" is a thing of the past. Tapes have a surprisingly high failure rate. While the "Backup Complete!" message is nice, recovery is far from 100% guaranteed. Online storage in a protected data center is the way to go.
How do I protect the fruits of my genius?
First, we help our clients determine what to protect: from every file on every desktop to only the most sensitive finance database on a critical server, anything is possible. Then, we configure a RocketVault application on each protected machine. RocketVault encrypts and compresses the data and transfers a copy to a RocketNet data center. Every time a protected file changes, RocketVault automatically encrypts, compresses and sends the revision. RocketVault can even maintain copies of erased files. RocketVault works with any Internet connection - your MaiTai-inspired PowerPoint is backed up while you surf the Honolulu Airport's Wifi. To steal a phrase that actually applies here - you just set it...and forget it.
Crap. Everything's gone. How do I get it back?
Launch the RocketVault Restore Wizard, click through the choices, and start the download... your files will come back home, in the version you want, over any Internet connection. When the earthquake hits SF, you can get back to work using your friend's machine in Reno (assuming I-80 is as reliable as RocketVault).
See details about RocketVault simplicity, safety and securityMy email server is as defenseless as a quadriplegic kitten. What can I do?
You probably need RocketBlock. It includes all the features needed to eliminate spam and protect your email server from attacks. Email may be blocked, quarantined, tagged, or delivered based on your company's specific policies or the preferences of individual users.
Sounds like some sort of crazy voodoo-magic. How does it work?
All emails are routed through our RocketNet servers first, then filtered for spam and other malicious code and passed along to your mail server. Since RocketBlock is a dedicated, optimized hardware and software platform for spam removal it is far more effective than software-only solutions. There is no additional software to install on any of your servers or desktops and no noticeable change in email for your users (other than the fact they'll receive much less spam!).
Email Queuing — RocketBlock's hidden gem.
Since your emails are routed through our servers first, if your mail server ever goes down – like, say, during a move to a plush new office – all new messages will simply be queued and sent to you as soon as you're back up. That way, you'll never stop receiving emails and no one will ever email you and get a "Message Undeliverable" response.
Check out the process in detail! Finally. A product for enterprising mavericks who want their email to actually work.
RocketMail is a fully-hosted, outsourced email and calendar solution for small and medium-sized businesses. By letting RocketMail host your email, you increase security and ultimately reduce costs by eliminating the need to purchase and maintain a mail server. Moreover, with features like groupware, shared calendars, and mobile forwarding, RocketMail is on par with other top-tier enterprise communication suites, but costs significantly less.
Really, though, why do I need RocketMail?
If you're growing a business, you face two options when it comes to email: buy a mail server or outsource. In our experience, handling email in-house only makes sense if you are a large operation or email is part of your core business. Otherwise, outsourcing eliminates maintenance headaches, is far more reliable, and ultimately cheaper.
RocketMail is eDiscovery compliant.
A whole host of new federal rules went into effect December 2006 that require nearly every company to begin to archive all sorts of communications — including all emails, IM conversations and text messages sent from company computers and phones. RocketMail is easily configurable to store emails in accordance with the new eDiscovery laws.
See how simple and safe RocketMail really is.All seeing. All knowing. Well, almost.
RocketEye is a monitoring system that collects data in real-time about every machine on your network down to an extremely detailed level, allowing for proactive maintenance and reduced support costs. Additionally, RocketEye gives you control over what can and can't be installed on computers connected to your network, automatically alerts RSC of any security vulnerabilities, and constantly checks for new updates to critical programs and operating systems. RocketEye also conducts real-time inventory reports, so you know exactly what software and hardware is on every single workstation.
But aside from feeding my control issues, why is RocketEye so great?
Used properly, RocketEye can save money and lost productivity that you currently spend troubleshooting IT emergencies. By knowing everything that happens on the network, you'll know when it's time to stop employees from playing online poker, checking their genealogy, or checking the latest youtube video – you name it – before these turn into major problems. We guarantee you will ultimately save money with RocketEye, and – more importantly – you'll have fewer IT headaches.
What exactly can I do with RocketEye?Because it's sad when a computer is sick.
RocketShots protects your network from viruses, Trojans, worms, hackers, and network viruses, plus spyware and mixed threat attacks. As an integrated solution, it guards desktops, laptops, and network servers and can enforce policy on non-compliant computers, and then redirect, restrict, deny, or permit network access.
How does RocketShots work?
A RocketShots application is installed on every desktop computer and server in your network that performs virus scans, prevents and remove spyware, and restricts the installation of unapproved software. Best of all, the client causes virtually no slowdown in system performance and is unobtrusive - your users won't even know it's installed unless they download something they shouldn't. Additionally, RocketShots comes with advanced reporting features. You'll see security threats that have been neutralized, problems that need to be addressed and recommendations for how to further improve security.
RocketShots is an investment that pays for itself.
Viruses and spyware can slow down your servers and workstations significantly and reduce productivity. By addressing the threat head-on, you'll ultimately save on IT support costs. We can't tell you how much you'll save, because just when you'll get a virus or become inundated with spyware is unpredictable, but in our experience a single attack can cost more to fix than a year-long subscription to RocketShots.
See a visual on how RocketShots shields your computerAt my IT-themed social events, people keep mentioning this "RocketWall". What the devil is that?
Rocketwall is a managed firewall for small business. As an integrated solution, it guards desktops, laptops, and network servers and can enforce policy on non-compliant computers, and then redirect, restrict, deny, or permit network access.
You had me at "can enforce policy on non-compliant computers"
Like any firewall, except for setup, maintenance, monitoring and reporting are all included in one low monthly fee, and there is no capital outlay. In addition to protecting you from hackers, we offer a content filter to block access to inappropriate websites, virus and spyware scanning to help stop them before they get on your network and bandwidth monitoring so you can find out who – and how – your staff is using the internet.
De-fense! (clap-clap) De-fense! (clap-clap)
RocketGuard is quarterly security scan of your entire network. We'll find every hole, and have a plan to fill them in.
Again with the voodoo magic?
We never use voodoo. We simply have an appliance scan your network from the inside out, and this magic box tells us every security concern there is, links us to the solution, and ranks them by business risk. Short, sweet, serious.
